All-year skiing area Hintertuxer Gletscher
Skiing & snowboarding in Tyrol's only all-year-round skiing area! The Hintertux Glacier forms the imposing end of the valley with the mighty Olperer (3,476 m), which you can climb at any time with a mountain guide.
Up to 60 km of perfectly groomed powder snow slopes, a perfectly shaped board park and 100 km of distant views await all piste tigers up there.
at the Hintertux Glacier Natureispalast
Only 200 m away from the highest point on the Hintertux glacier begins the Nature Ice Palace - the icy journey. From the viewing plateau at the Gefrorenen Wand (3,250 m), a safe path leads to the gates of the palace. After a thorough check of the equipment (helmet, harness with 2 safety slings), the path runs by handrail through the entire, naturally formed ice cave system.
Only natural sunlight is needed to bathe the entire hall in blue.
Show dairy & mountain tunnel Goldschaubergwerk & Hochzeller Käsealm
Experience a journey into the tunnels of the gold show mine and get an impression of gold mining 350 years ago. Learn all about the living and working conditions of the miners at that time, their social environment as well as the political conflicts between Salzburg and Tyrol and the strong influence of the church. The excursion starts at the Hochzeller Käsealm show dairy and lasts about two hours.
Guided tours:
May, June & October: every 2 hours
July, August & September: hourly
Star & Planet watching Planetarium Schwaz
Planetary movements, the daily and annual course of the sun's celestial bodies, cosmic events such as solar or lunar eclipses, but also the recent unmanned landing on Mars are all occurrences that are analysed in the Zeiss Planetarium and made clear in a simple way!
Unlike an observatory, where the starry sky can be viewed directly through a telescope, in a Planetarium the starry sky is artificially created.
Moments of amazement Swarovski Kristallwelten
The Swarovski Crystal Worlds open up a magical experience for their visitors: Inside the "giant", underground chambers of wonder await with a multi-faceted play of crystalline colours and shapes. Whether as gossamer crystal dust or majestic solitaire, fiery gleam or soft shimmer: the mutability of crystals is incomparable.
Their mystical home is as lively as their brilliance: the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens/Tyrol.
